“This piece is a joyous reminder to give with love.  To live a life that is committed to things external of ourself, provide love and care for those who need it and through these actions enable a full and joyous life”.

Painting inspired by the life of Ronnie Benbow.

Ronnie has such a capacity for love, with a need so great to care for others that this act has shaped her life.  During our interview, her love for her boys was apparent.  As was her incredible passion for the creation of caring hub in the hinterland.  A place surrounded by nature, water bubbling past.  A place where people could reconnect with themselves.  The light in her eyes when speaking about it was almost magical. And I knew this needed to be the subject for her painting.  The flowers in the piece represent renewal and hope.  The five white flowers represent her four sons and Tom - the boy who committed suicide at 15years old, an act that set Ronnie on this lifelong mission. The piece is full of vibrancy and happiness because that is the gift that Ronnie gives the Carers she supports through her charity work.
