Journaling Moments Collection
Journaling Moments is a deeply personal body of work created while travelling through the shifting landscapes of Australia - a visual diary of fleeting impressions, emotions, and encounters with place.
“Each work in Journaling Moments was painted on location or inspired by real moments experienced while travelling across Australia.” Tracie Eaton.
Each painting captures more than scenery; it holds a moment of presence. A storm rolling in across an open plain, rain dissolving the horizon, the intensity of colour at dusk, or the quiet stillness between destinations. These works are not literal representations, but emotional translations - where memory, movement, and landscape merge.
The collection moves fluidly between recognisable terrain and expressive abstraction, reflecting the unpredictability of travel itself. Some works feel expansive and grounding, while others erupt with energy, texture, and colour - mirroring the internal shifts that occur when we step outside the familiar.
Through layered surfaces, gestural mark-making, and intuitive use of colour, Tracie Eaton invites the viewer into these in-between spaces - where reflection happens, where change begins, and where connection to self and land is quietly restored.
Journaling Moments is not about where you’ve been.
It’s about what you felt while you were there.
