I Remember was inspired by the life of Matty Mills, whose story is shaped by optimism, deep cultural pride and connection to community and heritage. What defines Matty most is not what he has faced, but his unwavering commitment to living a joyful, meaningful life.

Looking upward through the trees reflects a grounding practice — one that diminishes the scale of personal challenges and reconnects us to something greater. The trees themselves symbolise connection to country, ancestors and spirit. The blue sky honours enduring love and guidance, while yellow carries memory and remembrance. Orange brings warmth and vitality, reflecting joy lived fully and authentically.

The use of dotted foliage creates a subtle link to Indigenous storytelling — acknowledging the power of story, memory and continuity across generations.
