Symbolism & Story 

Hope was inspired by the life of Kerry Atherton, whose journey reflects the power of choosing a new path — again and again. The central doorway symbolises a life once lived in fear and limitation, while the surrounding light represents faith, inner strength and the moment of turning toward something better.

The garden path speaks to renewal and continuity — honouring where we come from, while consciously creating a different future. The multiple doors throughout the piece reflect life’s quiet invitations: moments where we don’t yet know what lies ahead, but step forward anyway.

Kerry’s story becomes a mirror for anyone who has faced change, recovery, reinvention or healing — and emerged with a deeper capacity to hold space for themselves and others.
